English Country Dancing in Upperville

Please join us for an evening of English Country Dancing in the Parish Hall at Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville.  The dances will be led by Melissa Running, who will be accompanied by Andrea Hoag on the fiddle and Paul Oorts on the mandolin and guitar.

On February 13th, we will begin learning the dances for our Spring ball - The Great Shipwreck Ball, an English Country Dance ball which will be set in 1802.

Please join us as we learn both historical and modern country dances which are reminiscent of the dances you have seen in the recent productions of Jane Austen's Emma, Pride and Prejudice, and Northanger Abbey, among others.

Newcomers are welcome and no experience is required!  Dancers should wear soft-soled shoes to preserve the floor.
